Don't be afraid: God's grace is with you and is at work in you.

~ M. CLELIA MERLONI

We are Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, consecrated women of the Church. Impelled by the spirit active in each of us and faithful to the charism of Clelia Merloni, we seek to make the compassionate Heart of Christ better known, loved, and served. We do this by personal and communal witness to the Gospel, commitment to growth in holiness, and ministry to the people of God.

  • Sr. Theodore Bollati Honored by Cor Jesu Academy

Sr. Theodore and Mary Kaye Mueller

Sr. Theodore Bollati has served the community at Cor Jesu Academy in St. Louis, MO for 32 years. As she prepares to leave for a new ministry at Sacred Heart Manor in Hamden, CT, the CJA community celebrated Sr. Theodore's service—the longest tenure of any Apostle in the school's history!
Sr. Theodore has not only managed CJ's library for 32 years, she has been an active witness and model of sharing the love of the heart of Christ to over 4,000 young women, parents and faculty. CJ will miss not only her library management, but her generous hospitality, her prayers for all, prayers for school events and weather, prayers to St. Anthony for everyone's lost items (which probably total thousands of found items to date!), her concern for all in the Cor Jesu family and her constant witness to faith in the Sacred Heart.
Wednesday, May 7, 2008 was the day set aside by the Cor Jesu Academy community to honor Sr. Theodore Bollati. The day began with a traditional May Crowning honoring the Blessed Mother at which Sr. Theodore led the students in the Act of Consecration to Mary. As this spiritual event concluded, fellow teacher, Jane Laurentius opened the festivities with a tribute to Sr. Theodore: “I stand here before you to give a tribute to one of our dear Cor Jesu family members—Sr. Theodore. After 32 years of service to Cor Jesu Academy, she is leaving for a new position of service elsewhere. Having known her, having watched her for the past 20 years, I feel honored to stand here representing you, the Cor Jesu family, as we pay homage to her.
