“We could not imagine what our world would be like without the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.”

Larry and Janet DiPalma have been good friends of the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus for over 30 years. In 1976, Larry began supporting the ministry of the Apostles at Sacred Heart School in New Haven, CT, by contributing to the school financially and by participating in service projects at the school. In 2002 he began attending daily Mass at a chapel on the grounds of Mount Sacred Heart Provincialate in Hamden. Even though he is now principal of Prendergast Elementary School in Ansonia, Larry still attends Mass at the Mount twice a week. “I can’t do without it,” he says.
Larry and Janet “find it comforting to know that throughout the world the Apostles of the Sacred Heart share with the laity their faith journeys, their love of the heart of Christ, the joy of their vocation, and the charism of Mother Clelia.”
“God wants us to be givers,” say the DiPalmas, and they give to the Apostles in more than one way. “We support the Apostles by praying daily for the needs of the community, by thanking the sisters for answering God’s call, and by encouraging the congregation to continue to reach out to the poor, needy, and abandoned throughout the world. We also share with them our financial resources so that they can continue to bring the love of the heart of Christ to everyone they meet.”
Larry and Janet say they have received more than they have given from their association with the Apostles. “The opportunity to support their ministries and formation programs, the blessing of the friendships we share, and the ability to attend community celebrations have helped us to discover who we are, how much God loves us, and what a wonderful role model we have in Mother Clelia. We could not imagine what our world would be like without the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.”
