Ways to Help
Dear Friends of the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
How blessed I am to be in this new position of Director of Mission Advancement. It is through this role that
I have the privilege to share with friends like you all the wonderful stories of what is happening in the ministries of the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus throughout the United States. Whether it is in St. Joseph’s School in Chinatown in New York City; Clelian Heights School for Exceptional Children in Greensburg, PA; or Sacred Heart Academy and Clelian Adult Day Center here on the Mount property in Hamden CT, the charism of our Foundress Mother Clelia Merloni, to share God’s love, is alive and well.
During the past six months Sr. Maureen Martin and her Provincial Council have sponsored a Strategic Planning Process that included having an independent consultant visit each of our ministries. It didn’t matter where they visited; the response was always the same: the people in each of those ministries love the Apostles and are so happy they minister with them. I think Mother Clelia is very happy with our efforts.
However, like every hard reality in life it is not always easy to maintain these ministries financially. That is where we need your help. With your contribution, you can:
- Provide for the ongoing formation needs of all our sisters
- Support our elderly and retired sisters
- Provide support for our missions to the poor and new immigrants
A sister once asked our foundress, Mother Clelia, advice about a new project and she replied, “Here is a very beautiful opportunity that Jesus offers you for imitating the charity of His most loving heart.” Clelia spoke these encouraging words to her, and also to us all as we try to be of service to the Church and those in need.
We are counting on your support. Please consider making a gift online or mailing it directly to our office. Your efforts on our behalf do not go unnoticed in the eyes of God, who sees the generosity in your heart.
May the Sacred Heart continue to bless you and your family with His riches blessings.
God love you!
Sr. Sheila O’Neill, A.S.C.J., Ph.D
