As a Friend of the Sacred Heart you will

• Share in a program of prayer in spiritual union with the sisters.
• Be given opportunities for spiritual and personal enrichment through Eucharistic celebrations, holy hours, spiritual conferences and retreats.
• Make the Heart of Jesus better known and loved by what you say and do.
• Reveal the love of the Heart of Jesus by your care and concern for others.

Who are the “Friends Of The Sacred Heart?”

These are women and men: single, widowed, separated and divorced who share in the spirituality, charism, and mission of the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to deepen their own love for the Heart of Jesus.

How do I share in the spirituality?

You may share in the ASCJ Spirituality in a number of ways:

1. Pray the “Prayer to the Sacred Heart” daily, asking Jesus to reveal himself to you and to make your heart more like His.
2. Pray the Daily Offering. Offer Jesus all that you do throughout your day: work, joys, sorrows, fun, everything.
3. Reflect on one of the Sacred Heart scriptural passages, seeing how Jesus has shown his love for you.
4. Become friends with one of the Saints of the Sacred Heart. Imitate their love and enthusiasm for the Heart of Jesus.

How do I share in the charism?

You may share in the ASCJ Charism by praying with us and for us; in sharing our spirituality you participate in our charism.

How do I share in the mission?

The mission of the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is to make the Heart of Jesus better known, loved and served among all people. In your life you participate in our mission by what you say and do to make the love of the Heart of Jesus better known and loved. You may participate in our mission by praying for our different ministries of elementary, secondary and religious education, pastoral and youth ministry, health care, legal aid, and the apostolate of prayer. To volunteer for a specific ministry, contact the convent nearest you or contact the Volunteer Director.
