As we approach the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 27, we invite you to draw nearer to Christ and His Divine Heart by praying the following novena with us every day through June 26. This simple yet powerful prayer asks Jesus to transform our hearts, making them more like His.

This year’s solemnity holds special significance as the Church commemorates the 350th anniversary of the Apparitions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in Paray-le-Monial, France. Through these apparitions, Jesus revealed the mysteries of His Heart and called for the institution of what we now know as the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, inspiring widespread devotion to the Sacred Heart.

During this time of prayerful preparation, we hope you will come to experience Jesus’ love and mercy anew and understand more fully His boundless love for you! Together, let us renew our devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus so that we may be instruments of His love!

O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,
living and life-giving fountain of eternal life,
infinite treasure of the divinity,
glowing furnace of divine love,
in you I find my rest and my sure refuge.
Most loving Savior,
inflame my heart with the same
burning love which enkindles your own;
pour into my heart the manifold graces
of which yours is the source.
Grant that your will be mine
and that mine be in conformity
with yours for all eternity.
Amen.
